Body of Wheaton woman found in river

The body of a Wheaton woman missing since a weekend boating accident on the Illinois River has been found, Grundy County coroner's officials said.

Emily Anne Hendricks, 24, was pronounced dead at about 12:35 p.m. Wednesday. She was found near Grist Island Head on the Illinois River between Morris and Seneca.

She was one of four people on a Bayliner boat that got lodged Sunday afternoon in the Dresden Dam east of Morris, according to the Morris Daily Herald.

One person was rescued from the boat and two others rescued from the water. All were taken to a Morris hospital, treated and released, the paper reported.

The coroner's office and Illinois Department of Natural Resources continue to investigate the accident.
