Fire safety promoted in June

Countryside Fire Protection District provides fire safety handouts at Chick-fil-A, 701 N. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12. A spin on the restaurant prize board will be given in exchange for a donation to local fire safety education programs. A Countryside engine and ambulance will be on hand for show and tell and to provide safety tips and free gifts. June is the Official National Safety Month, and Chick-fil-A has partnered with Countryside Fire District to help promote this year's theme of safety. A successful safety program depends on spotting hazards early, evaluating their risk and removing or controlling them before harm is done. Call (847) 367-5511 or visit www.countrysidefire.com.
