Roskam-Duckworth battle brewing

Roskam-Duckworth battle brewing

Oh, the irony.

The year was 2006. Tammy Duckworth and Peter Roskam went head to head to win the open U.S. House seat in the IL 6th District vacated by Henry Hyde. The election results were very close, but Peter Roskam prevailed. Tammy came back in 2012 to win the House seat in the 8th District by defeating Tea Party incumbent, Joe Walsh.

These two Congressional representatives, Duckworth and Roskam, will go head to head again on the House Select Committee to investigate, for the fourteenth time, the Benghazi non-scandal.

Anyone who attended a 2006 debate at the College of DuPage between Duckworth and Roskam will remember that, even though Tammy lost the war (the election), she won the battle with Peter in the debate. Can't wait to see who prevails in 2014.
