Pet microchips, vaccinations offered:

The Vernon Hills Police Department will host a pet vaccination and microchip clinic from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 26, in the police garage at 754 Lakeview Parkway. Microchipping and vaccinations will be offered. Cats must be in carriers and dogs must be leashed. The cost for a microchip is $15 per pet, cash only, and the pet will be registered with the Lake County Animal Care and Control Program. For an additional fee, the pet owner can register for other services, such as 24-hour notification with Home Again, the chip provider.
