Campaign finance reform is in order
We Americans should not value the accumulation of wealth above justice, democracy and the good of the country. We need to decide on the values that matter most to us and then actively promote them.
A good place to start would be reform of how campaigns are financed. The current system requires candidates and politicians to spend too much time raising money and then are beholden to those who have made generous contributions. A bought politician rarely legislates in the public interest.
