Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is that?I will bring honor, fairness, integrity, to this office and make common sense decisions, always keeping the safety of our citizens first. I have practiced law for 23 years and have seen many judges treat people as citizens deserving courtesy and decency. But that is not always the case. If you feel that you have not been treated correctly by a judge, that is going to color the way you decide to proceed with regard to doing your duties as a citizen. I have a real appreciation about how rare and valuable the rule of law is in this great country.What differentiates you most from your opponents in the race?I have a federal trial license. I prosecuted for the City of Aurora for 10 years. I have practiced law for 23 years: Murder, Condemnation, Breach of Contract, Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcy, Bankruptcy Adversary Proceedings Creditor and Debtor, Personal Injury Plaintiffs, Personal Injury Defense. I have mentored some of my fellow attorneys, teaching them Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in order to assist them in keeping their law practices afloat.Finally, is there anything we haven't asked about that you feel we should know?I am proud to say that my great great great grandfather walked from Aurora to Marengo in order to join the Union army in the Civil War. He, like almost everyone in the Aurora area, was a Republican and voted for the one of founders of the Republican Party, Abraham Lincoln. This means that I am a 6th generation Republican. I supported and and will serve under the 2011 Judicial Pension Reform P.A. 096-0889, which will maximize my yearly pension at $64,000.00. Previous to 2011, the old system judicial pensions were $145,000.00
