Book character stars at Town and Country Library

Town and Country Public Library in Elburn welcomed a special visitor Friday.

Cookie Mouse, star of the book, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,” by Laura Numeroff, stopped by to visit with about a dozen kids and to sit in on a reading of the book, along with a reading of “If You Give a Moose a Muffin.”

The event was sponsored by Barnes and Noble of Geneva, and after the readings kids got a chance to have their picture taken with, hug or high-five the big mouse.

Monday the library will visited by Mr. Steve “Master Facilitator of Fun!” at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Steve entertains kids with a combination of magic, music, balloon characters and more.

Call the library at (630) 365-2244 for more information.
