Lutheran General relocated ER entrance

The entrance for the emergency department at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge moved Wednesday from the back of the hospital to off the main driveway at the front of the hospital. The change affects walk-in patients only. Ambulance traffic will continue to the back.

Patients arriving by car for emergency services should follow signs for the main entrance at the front of the hospital and look for the red canopy marking the new Emergency Department entrance. Public safety officers will greet those driving and direct them. Patients can park in the main garage or use valet parking.

The relocation will remain in effect for 18 months, as a new emergency department, operating suites and loading dock are built. The $40 million project is slated to be completed in spring of 2015.
