Does library really need the money?

Does library really need the money?

I find it very difficult to understand how the Glen Ellyn library, who self admittedly “had sufficient funds to cover the whole thing,” the April flood loss, is accepting state aid and even applying to FEMA for additional help. What is their need?

Are there no other libraries in the whole state of Illinois that do have needs in far excess of that of Glen Ellyn? Every day there are stories of libraries closing because of finances. etc.

I would ask that Attorney General Lisa Madigan initiate an investigation into the reason that limited resources are being directed to recipients without any need, and that a personal appearance costing more money to deliver the check is occurring.
