Rolling Meadows man robbed in Streamwood

A Rolling Meadows man was robbed of his wallet, cash, credit cards and a cellphone in Streamwood by two men who threatened to break his jaw with a baseball bat, Streamwood police said.

The man said he agreed to meet the men in the 0-100 block of Whitehall Court about 8 p.m. Monday to buy two cellphones they advertised on a website for $850. The meeting was arranged by text message. When he arrived, they met him on the street, threatened him, went through his pockets, then fled.

The man described the suspects as about 19 years old, slim build, wearing dark clothes.
