Rose, NBA stars showcase new jerseys, video
The Bulls and star guard Derrick Rose are joining with the NBA and getting dressed up for Christmas in new basketball attire - with sleeves.
Along with a Jingle Hoops video destined to go viral, the leagued debuted short-sleeved jerseys Thursday for the 10 teams that will play on the holiday, replacing the traditional sleeveless NBA uniforms.
Rose is featured in the video commercial along with five other NBA players: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Steve Nash and Stephen Curry as they hit three-point shots to the tune of "Jingle Bells" while wearing their new "BIG Logo" uniforms.
The Adidas jerseys feature a large logo in the center on the front of the jersey. The player's number is featured on the left sleeve and on the back.
In 2012, the league's "BIG Color" holiday video drew more than 8 million hits on YouTube.
Beginning today, "Jingle Hoops" will be live on the league's digital platforms and air on broadcast partners ABC, ESPN, TNT, NBA TV, and regional sports networks. In an effort to reach basketball fans around the world, the NBA will also air international versions of the spot in key regions including China, Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Africa, and the Middle East.
"We worked closely with Adidas to create an innovative new uniform design for our Christmas Day games," said Sal LaRocca, NBA executive vice president of Global Merchandising. "The BIG Logo collection will provide a unique look on-court and a variety of products for our fans."
The uniforms are part of the Adidas NBA "BIG Logo" Holiday Collection, which includes new warm-up jackets and shooting shirts that feature print graphics inspired by knit holiday sweaters. The warm-up jackets feature team logos on the front chest and BIG team logos on the back, both made of chenille patches.
NBA on Christmas Day
ABC and ESPN will present five NBA games on Dec. 25, starting with the Brooklyn Nets hosting the Bulls.

Oklahoma City at N.Y. Knicks, 1:30 p.m., ABC
Miami at L.A. Lakers, 4 p.m. ABC
