Maggiano’s headed to Hawthorn

A familiar suburban restaurant chain will be coming to Vernon Hills as part of a $50 million renovation and expansion at Westfield Hawthorn mall.

Westfield announced Wednesday that Maggiano’s Little Italy would be part of the ongoing project with a 10,000-square-foot restaurant scheduled to open next spring on the lower level, at the southwest entrance across from Mario Tricoci.

Previously mentioned additions include a 12-screen AMC theater to be built as a new entrance between Sears and JCPenney, a Dave & Buster’s arcade/restaurant with 200 games, upgraded mall entrances and a modernized dining court.
