Eternal vigilance of the citizen soldier

Eternal vigilance of the citizen soldier

Unconscionable barricading of the World War II and Lincoln Memorials, closure of Mount Rushmore while blocking military chaplains’ entry to places of worship to minister to our troops betray a pathetic White House only too willing to engage sophomoric, temper-tantrum tactics to enrage the American people. Can the pitchforks of the great unwashed be far behind?

Meanwhile this president’s feckless, vacuous foreign policy borne of his malignant narcissism unquestionably compromises America’s fragile security in an increasingly dangerous world. Our avowed global enemies stand dramatically emboldened and ominous.

News flash to career politicians on both sides of the aisle: your predictably clever talking points, disingenuous rhetoric reveal your abject shallowness and self-serving commitment to endless spoils of political longevity. Just know that the oft-demonized, ever-besmirched Tea Party will forever expose your empty demagoguery while seeking to replace you with principled Americans untainted by the elixir of Beltway celebrity. Business as usual fueled by the good-ole-boy network has been quietly supplanted by the eternal vigilance of an informed, engaged, patriotic citizen soldier.

Get used to it.
