Wheeling H.S. ‘Hoops For Africa’ is next week
Wheeling High School’s fourth annual Hoops for Africa fundraising event will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the gymnasium.
The basketball game between students and staff alternates each quarter by gender. Female students compete against female staff and male students play against male staff.
Sponsored by Interact with Africa, a Rotary-affiliated school club that serves the local community and raises money to help build schools in Angola, the event includes a short presentation on Interact at halftime.
