Construction delays expected along Route 22

The Illinois Department of Transportation beginning Monday will begin repaving and patching state Route 22 from U.S. Route 14 to U.S. Route 12, in the villages of Fox River Grove, Lake Barrington and North Barrington.

IDOT authorized Lake County the use of Route 22 as a detour in conjunction with some of the county’s own summer road projects, including Cuba and Miller roads, according to Lake County District 17 Board Member Nick Sauer. The state’s work along the detour could present increased traffic delays, Sauer advises.

Motorists are asked to give themselves plenty of travel time and exercise patience during this busy construction season. For questions regarding the Route 22 road work or any other IDOT project, please email IDOT.
