Blame love of money for our woes

As a result of reading Gerald Wester’s “A way to rein in college tuition costs” and Mark Evenson’s “Inflated pensions weren’t intended” comments, we are reminded of St. Paul’s letter to Timothy (1 Timothy 6:10), which states, “Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.” This teaching applies to both these comments by your readers, as well as the underlying cause of many conditions found in our world today.
