Fox Valley Repertory will be hosting a benefit comedy night, "Comedy For A Cauze", on June 20, 2013 at 8 pm. This offers an opportunity for adults from the community to enjoy a fun night out while supporting education of the performing arts. Proceeds received from tickets will be used to fund the creation of a new FVR Performing Arts Academy classroom in the Fox Valley Repertory administrative office. The show will be taking place at Zanies Comedy Club in St. Charles and will be featuring stand-up comedian Pat McGann. Doors open at 7 pm.

Fox Valley Repertory Performing Arts Academy is home to over 1,000 local youth students who are either learning arts for the first time, building self-confidence through performance techniques, or fine-tuning their stage talents. With the growing number of classes, camps, and workshops being offered to the community, Fox Valley Rep wants to create a space that is comfortable, consistent and close to their administrative office and staff. While performances will still take place at Pheasant Run Resort, there will be one main space for the students to have their classes. The space will include easy and accessible parking, a small waiting room for parents, and a carpeted rehearsal space with mirrors, white boards, and a piano.

The Fox Valley Repertory Performing Arts Academy is a non-profit organization and features some of the Chicago area's most respected teachers, directors, actors, and musicians. Since 2006, the Performing Arts Academy has had over 2,800 student enrollments, offered over 250 individual classes in a variety of disciplines and presented over 20 Youth Ensemble shows on the Pheasant Run Mainstage.

Pat McGann is the founder and host of PBS's The Chicago Stand-Up Project. McGann is a Chicago native who grew up on the city's south side. He still resides in Chicago, living near the Zanies Comedy Club in Old Town where he has been the House MC since 2008. As a stand-up comic, McGann travels around the country performing at comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, and casinos.

Zanies Comedy Club is located at Pheasant Run Resort at 4051 East Main Street St. Charles, IL 60174. Comedy is rated R so audience members must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID. Zanies also require that all ticket purchasers have a two drink or food item minimum purchase during the show. Tickets reservations are required. There will be an early bird special through May 30, 2013 where tickets will only be $20. After this date, general ticket reservations will be $25. Ticket reservations will be taken until June 17, 2013.
