Wauconda woman guilty of misdemeanor DUI in fatal crash

A Cook County judge acquitted a Wauconda woman of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol in a fatal 2011 Christmas Eve crash in Chicago.

But the judge found Christine Ahn, 30, guilty of the lesser charge of misdemeanor DUI following Ahn's bench trial this week at the George Leighton Criminal Court Building in Chicago.

Ahn received two years of supervision and was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service, court clerk's records show.

Ahn was driving north on Western Avenue in Chicago when she struck 30-year-old Enrique Lituma, a pedestrian. Lituma died a short time later, Chicago police said.
