Get a clue on the cost of war
This letter is to all of the war hawks in Congress and to those who are being bought by the Military Industrial Complex; remember President Eisenhower’s speech.
We now have more suicides taking place in our military than combat deaths. Military excursions in the last 25 years have caused more people to hate us. Thousands of our young men and women have lost their lives. Tens of thousands are amputees or have disabilites.
Mental disorders for those coming back from war are in the 30,000 to 40,000-plus. We are a bankrupt country; war costs a lot of money.
Get a hint and a clue when our adversaries have no trouble finding suicide bombers. That’s how we have brought this hatred, not to mention the stupidity of creating a Shiite empire — Iraq and Iran — when they used to be enemies.
