U-46 Upcoming Concerts & Events for March

Elgin High School

On March 7, the Winter Orchestra Concert will be presented in the EHS auditorium at 7 p.m.

Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students and senior citizens and $6 per family.

On March 10, the school will hold their 40th annual Flea Market from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Early admission (8 a.m.) is $5; general admission is $2; students & senior citizens are $1.

Larkin High School

On March 6, a Winter Choral Concert will be presented in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

Abbott Middle School

March 8 - Rachel's Challenge All School Field trip

Spring Dance 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Larsen Middle School

On March 7, a Band/Orchestra Concert will be held in the school auditorium at 7 p.m.

Admission is $2 – Adults; $1 – Students; $6 – Family; Seniors 62 and over living within U-46 boundaries may attend for free.

On March 14 & 15, a Spring play “Melanie & The Trash Can Troll” will be presented at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

On March 21, a Parent University will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the school. Dinner will be served previous to the informational sessions from 5-6 p.m.

Tefft Middle School

March 18-21, the play "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" will be presented in the school auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.00.

Centennial Elementary

On March 23, a Medieval Fair will be presented by the 6th grade students in the school gym from 9:00-10:30 a.m. It will be open to Centennial families. The students have made displays on medieval times as part of their social studies lessons.

Glenbrook Elementary

On March 8, the Parent Teacher Group is hosting its Annual Family Fun Fair from 6-9 p.m. The pre-sale cost of each ticket is $7 (they will be sold for $10 each on the night of the Fun Fair). You may purchase multiple tickets per child if you wish to redeem for more prizes. Hot dogs, nachos, candy, beverages, face painting, balloon artist and raffle tickets will need to be purchased separately with cash (approx. $1.00 each) at the Fun Fair. Adults, volunteers and children not playing games will not require a ticket for admission.

Highland Elementary

Spring Book Bus at Highland Elementary!

Hi U-46! It's cold out there, but the Book Bus is full of warm stories, hot plots and sizzling mysteries! And we're planning DUTU's 1st Spring Book Bus! The 1st Spring Book Bus will be at Highland Elementary on Saturday, March 16th from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. All are welcome! Each student receives 3 books, and another for every book donated! That could really add up! Please mark your calendar and come get some great spring reading material! Spring is on the way!

Liberty Elementary

On March 7, take a night off from cooking and join us for Liberty's Restaurant Night at McDonald's on Route 59 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Liberty Elementary will be hosting its second school and community Lucky Lion 5K Run and non-competitive 1-mile Family Fun Walk on SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 2013. If you were able to join us last year, you know that it will be a great time for the whole family! If this will be your first year participating in the event, we welcome you with open arms and big smiles! Congratulations on making the choice to stay fit and healthy, while supporting our school. All proceeds from this race will go directly to the Liberty Elementary School PTO. It's a “win-win”!! Signing up early for this event will be the perfect way for you to stay on track with all of your New Year's health and fitness goals!

Lords Park Elementary

On March 21 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm., we will have our Reading Night titled: "GETTING THE CORE." Our goal is to educate our parents about Common Core and how they can help the students at home.

Sunnydale Elementary

On March 8, the school will host their annual Formal Dress Sale from 4-7 p.m. New dresses will cost $20; slightly used dresses will only cost $10. The school is located at 716 Sunnydale Blvd. in Streamwood.

On March 13, the school Family Reading & Pizza Night will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Poplar Creek Library in Streamwood. Families will be treated to a pizza dinner, compliments of the library. They will then rotate through the library completing reading activities and getting tours of the library.
