Rush quote taken out of context

Fence Post writer Mary Boldan needs to put her thinking cap on, if she’s got one. That, or maybe just pay closer attention to what’s on the news. For instance ... says Mary, “Rush Limbaugh called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a slut for advocating contraception coverage.”

No, Mary, he did not. If you look up the word slut in the dictionary, you’ll see this: “a promiscuous woman; especially: prostitute.”

You know, I think it was John Adams who once said that “ ... facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”

Fluke admitted to being promiscuous, did she not? She is a woman, is she not? Combine these two facts and Merriam Webster says that they have a synonym for that, so if you have a gripe with the use of the word, please take it up with the folks who put the dictionary together ... or better yet, with Fluke herself.
