Messiah Lutheran Child Care Center has school openings
Messiah Lutheran Child Care Center in Park Ridge currently has openings for your preschool and kindergarten age child in the morning preschool and full-day classes. There are also openings for the Tuesday/Thursday and Wednesday/Friday younger 3 year old classes beginning January 9, 2013 and for the parent/tot class beginning January 7th.
Messiah provides a nurturing environment where the individual, physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual growth of each child is encouraged and celebrated. Messiah has a variety of programs suited for your child ages 3 to 5, including kindergarten, junior kindergarten, preschool and full day child care. Preschool is divided into classrooms for younger 3 year olds, older 3 year olds and 4 year old children. In addition, the parent/tot class is for children between the ages of 18 and 36 months.
Messiah has convenient scheduling where children can attend a minimum of 2 days per week, up to 5 days per week, and either half or full days. For children who stay through lunch, Messiah provides a healthy, catered lunch approved by a registered dietitian. As always, Messiah is a peanut-free environment.
Messiah just had their first field trip of the year to Goebbert's Farm in South Barrington. The children had a wonderful time seeing all of the animals, feeding the giraffes, taking a ride on the hay wagon and picking out a pumpkin, a gourd and a corn stalk to take home.
Upcoming events and fundraisers at Messiah include:
• On Wednesday, November 14th, Messiah will be holding a fund raising event at Moretti's in Edison Park. Upon ordering food, mention Messiah Child Care Center to your server and the school will benefit from home delivery.
• On November 15th, Messiah will host their annual Thanksgiving luncheon for children and their families.
• During the week of November 19th, children will be enjoying family week. Families are invited to share some school time with their children and participate in daily activities.
• During the week of November 26th, Messiah will be holding a GiGi Hill sale. GiGi Hill is a line of functional and stylish bags. Stop in and find that perfect Christmas gift!
• The next field trip will on November 28 to the Marriot Lincolnshire to see Cinderella.
• Mark your calendars for this year's Family Fun Fair on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
