Volo woman, two children reported missing since Saturday

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help in locating a 33-year-old Volo woman and her two children.

Aneta M. Marsek, along with Chevelle, 2, and Macenzie, 4 months old, have not been seen or heard from since Saturday, authorities said in a news release Thursday.

Deputies were called to the 200 block of Cornerstone Drive about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday for a missing-person report filed by Dan Marsek, Aneta’s estranged husband. He said the three were last heard from about 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 as they were leaving the Aneta’s parents’ house in Wauconda, authorities said.

Police spoke with Aneta Marsek’s parents but would not disclose the details of the conversation. Investigators have no evidence of foul play, officials said.

Aneta is described as a white female, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall, and weighing about 150 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Chevelle is described as a white female, who stands about 30 inches tall and weighs about 30 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Macenzie is described as a female at about 28 inches in length and weighs about 25 pounds. She also has brown hair and brown eyes.

The three would be driving a black Chevrolet Trailblazer with a license plate of CZAJA28. The vehicle may have some rear bumper damage from a recent accident.

Anyone with information regarding Aneta Marsek and her children is urged to contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at (847) 377-4250 or Lake County dispatch at (847) 549-5200.
