Schaumburg Business Association toasts business leaders

The 2012 Toast of Schaumburg was really a toast to the people who make up Schaumburg’s thriving business community.

Several of them were honored Saturday night, but everybody had a good time at the annual event, held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center. The event is hosted by the Schaumburg Business Association.

Ben Olson, president of 3 Monkeys & Aardvark Studios, which specializes in creative advertising and identity brand design for customers trying to attract print and online audiences, won the prestigious Brian H. Burke Business of the Year Award.

This year’s SBA Volunteer of the Year Award went to Katie Berganske, district manager of AmCheck. For the SBA she works with new association members.

The SBA Leadership Award winner was Lisa Timbo, general manager of Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel.

Other award winners were Kari-Ann Ryan of Michael Ericksen P.C., Ambassador of the Year; Gary Glenn of Stitchmine Embroidery, Member of the Year; and Mary-Beth and Darryl Salor of Chick-fil-A, Rookies of the Year.
