Island Lake village hall plans:
The Island Lake village officials said they will include the cost of design plans for the new village hall and police station in the lease agreement for the project. The consulting firm Draper and Kramer Inc. will develop a plan for the new facility’s construction, which the village will lease instead of own. Draper and Kramer will work with BKV Group, an architecture, interior design, landscaping and engineering firm, to complete design drawings, formation of a construction budget, a timeline and a financial model. Village officials said if they don’t sign a contract to complete the project with the BKV group, they will pay a $30,000 fee. Otherwise, all money to fund the project will be paid out of the lease agreement.
