Palatine Public Library launches laptop and projector lending program

In addition to the 60 Internet computer stations already available at its main library, the Palatine Public Library District is now offering laptops for use within the building.

The library this week launched the laptop lending program, which features 12 computers and four LCD projectors. The aim is to make its computer resources more easily accessible for patrons.

The laptops are connected to the library’s wireless Internet network, run on the Windows 7 operating system and have Microsoft Office 2010. They and the projectors may be checked out for two hours by Palatine Library cardholders 14 years and older.
