Hanover Twp. toy drive, Sponsor-a-Family programs under way

The annual Hanover Township toy drive and Sponsor-A-Family programs are under way and help is needed. From now until Saturday, Dec. 17, donations of new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the township offices at 250 S. Route 59 in Bartlett, the township’s Astor Avenue Community Center at 7431 Astor Ave., in Hanover Park or at any of the 20 drop-off locations in Streamwood, Elgin, Bartlett or Hanover Park. To view a complete list of locations, visit www.hanover-township.org.

“Each year the demand is higher and I am always impressed by the outpouring of support from the community,” said Hanover Township supervisor Brian P. McGuire. “Each donation truly makes a difference in a child’s life during the holiday season.”

The toy drive program allows supporters to purchase toys for any gender and age group up to 15 years old.

Sponsor-A-Family contributors select a family size and provide gifts for all children; adults are optional. Contributors are asked to spend a minimum of $35 per family member.

For questions or to sponsor a family, contact the Hanover Township Astor Avenue Community Center at (630) 837-0301.
