Suburbia's Got Talent: Stephanie Schwieger

At 15, Waubonsie Valley High School sophomore Stephanie Schwieger of Aurora is already a veteran of the stage and theater; she's been performing since age 8, says her mom, Cathy Schwieger. In today's Suburbia's Got Talent, she sings "Stay" by Sugarland.

Stephanie has performed in talent shows, fairs, and Disney's American Idol Show. She sings in several groups at Waubonsie, including the Varsity Singers, Mosaic, Una Voce a cappella group, and the Girls in Heels show choir. She has also performed in theater productions such as Willy Wonka Jr. and Charlotte's Web. And, when the National Tour of The Wizard of Oz came to town, she was chosen to be a munchkin.

Her mother says Stephanie is grateful to her music teachers and mentors and hopes to pursue singing and acting after high school.
