Find alternaitves to culling wildlife
I concur with a recent letter writer who rightfully asserted that humans and coyotes can manage to coexist. The culling or killing of animals that overpopulate is never acceptable. It does not matter if we’re referring to deer, coyotes, opossums, skunks, feral cats and even rats.
Consider all the billions of dollars that have been spent on space exploration and other dynamic but expensive technological and engineering endeavors. The least we we can do for sentient animals is to bait feed with potent and nutritious contraceptives where the creatures congregate as a means to humanely curtail their populations. We owe it to them because in many instances human commercial, industrial and residential development has displaced wildlife species from their waning refuges.
