Wheeling Dems to host candidates’ night

The Wheeling Township Democratic Organization will host the first of two candidates’ nights next week featuring 10th District Congressional hopefuls Vivek Bavda and Aloys Rutagwibira.

The candidates will introduce themselves and discuss their ideas for the national economy and the 10th District. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask the candidates questions.

Bavda, an attorney and formerly an educator with Teach For America, graduated of Northwestern University then earned a law degree from John Marshall Law School.

Rutagwibira is a mathematician who earned degree from Indiana University-South Bend and Loyola University in Chicago. Rutagwibira is active in the community as a basketball coach with the Grayslake Park District.

The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Wheeling Township Democratic Organization office, 1310 W. Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the program starting at 7 p.m. For more information email info@wheelingdems.com
