Irish Soprano Entertains BCLOC at an afternoon Soiree

The Barrington Chapter Lyric Opera of Chicago held its end of opera season program at the Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington.

The afternoon soiree entitled “Food for the Soul and Body” was attended by over 66 members and guests.

A social hour was followed by a delicious Italian Buffet Lunch.

Irish soprano Maire O’Brien (and CSO chorister) accompanied by Mark Riggleman, Lyric’s Director of Education, entertained with operatic arias and songs from Broadway musicals.

The 2011-2012 slate of officers and committee members were sworn in: Marlene Boncosky of Crystal Lake, president; Ana Kennedy, of Barrington, vice president membership; Charlene Jacobsen of Arlington Heights, vice president programs; Mary Green of Barrington, vice president education; David Nelleman of St. Charles, treasurer; and Gerald Budzik of Huntley, recording secretary; Heide Carlini of Barrington, archivist; Catherine Mura of Lake Barrington and Glenne McMonigal of Crystal Lake, community relations; Maureen Brown of Lake Zurich and Toni Savadel of Carpentersville, hospitality; Kathryn Black of Lake Barrington, invitations; Nancy Hozian of Kildeer, member services; Mary Robins of Arlington Heights, nominating chairman; Diane Johnson of Arlington Heights, operathon liaison; Margit Vogel of Lake Barrington, reservations; Linda Budzik of Huntley, volunteers; and Howard Robins of Arlington Heights, development.
