Pei Wei ready to open Monday in Mount Prospect

Pei Wei Asian Diner — owned and operated by P.F. Chang's China Bistro — will open Monday at the Randhurst Village in Mount Prospect.

Pei Wei currently operates 169 restaurants in 22 states, but the Mount Prospect restaurant will be just the third Illinois location.

Pei Wei uses a Mandarin-style wok-cooking process and features cuisine from five Asian countries: China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea and Thailand. Menu items are priced under $10 and will feature Asian-inspired dishes such as Korean barbecue, Mandarin Kung Pao, pad thai and gluten-free Vietnamese rolls. The menu also offers a variety of small plates including crab wontons, hot and sour soup and pork egg rolls.

Pei Wei Asian Diner is at 1021 N. Elmhurst Road. The eatery will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
