Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?In these tough economic times, all programs are continually reviewed with changes made and costs controlled. Rather than eliminating a program, marketing efforts are made to increase revenues. Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe.None at this time. The district is always open to acquiring open space but only as finaces permit. Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Or, should they wait until the economy improves?None which are obvious at this time. A new program would have to replace an existing one or have fees which will pay for the costs.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiency?River Trails currently cooperates with other local governments in various ways and is always open to share programs and resources. If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.I am an incumbent of a year and a half and am still in somewhat of a learning process. Focusing on budgets and costs are the main contributions to date. Exploring cost effective energy reductions is a key interest.
