Wheaton Montessori School Celebrates Grandparents Day

On Tuesday, November 23, Wheaton Montessori School celebrated their 11th Annual Grandparents' Day. For the past several weeks the children have been learning songs to share on this special day. Grandparents had the opportunity to meet the faculty, but even more meaningful was the grandchildren having an opportunity to share their school life and academic activities.

Erick Goble, of Glen Ellyn, excitedly shared with a teacher that he was “going to show his Nona a lesson today”. Many of the elementary-aged children shared lessons with their grandparents on grammar, fractions, cube root, greatest common factor, and tone bars.

“We enjoyed seeing what the children do each day and how they interact with each other” said Delva Santana, of West Chester, Illinois.

“We always look forward to and enjoy this day”, said Susan Johnson of Winfield, Illinois.

Grandparents traveled from throughout the United States, Canada, India, Ghana West Africa, and Pakistan to enjoy this special day.
