Family thanks Mount Prospect fire department for saving a life

It's a thank you four months in the making.

On February 11, 2010, Mount Prospect Fire Department Ambulance 12 and Elk Grove Township Fire Protection District responded to a Mount Prospect home and found a 49-year-old man in cardiac arrest.

He was successfully resuscitated and is now at home enjoying his family and his health.

"This is one of those times when it all worked," said EMS Coordinator Wendy Seleen.

The man, his wife and their family will thank the crew that saved his life at 10 a.m. today at Mount Prospect Fire Station 12, 1601 W Golf Road in Mount Prospect.
