It's not too late for an H1N1 shot

Walgreens will administer H1N1 flu vaccinations on Thursday, March 11, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. or until supplies have been depleted at the Mount Prospect village hall, 50 South Emerson. Shots will be administered to anyone 18 years old or older. The cost is $18 and must be paid by cash or check.

Seniors who have Medicare A and B will not be charged for the shot but must bring their Medicare card for their insurance claim to be filed. Individuals with Medicare HMO, Railroad Retirement, or who are under age 65 years old and do not have Medicare, will be charged $18 for the shot.

St. Patrick's Day party for seniorsThe Mount Prospect Senior Advisory Council will host its annual St. Patrick's Day Party at noon on Sunday, March 14, at The Wellington of Arlington, 2121 S. Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights. This party is open to all adults. There will be a cash bar from noon to 1 p.m. and the lunch is at 1 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, which must be paid in advance and includes entertainment and door prizes.
