• Air Force Airman Jonathan K. Sinclair graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Sinclair, who earned distinction as an honor graduate, is the son of Sara Sinclair of Schaumburg and a 2007 graduate of William Fremd High School, Palatine.

• Army Spec. Michael D. Webb deployed to Iraq to serve in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Webb, an automated logistics specialist with seven years of military service, is normally assigned to the 249th Quartermaster Company at Fort Bragg, NC. He is the son of Debbie A. Cummings of Umatilla, Fla. His wife, Megan, is the daughter of Bernard Ebeling of Elk Grove Village.
