The newest member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, former Cubs slugger Andre Dawson, will be signing autographs and greeting fans Saturday in Schaumburg.

Dawson, who was elected to the Hall of Fame on Wednesday, will be making a special appearance at Field of Dreams, a sports memorabilia store, from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

The special engagement is limited to about 200 fans who submit a reservation with a paid commitment in advance by calling the story at (847) 995-9095.

A Field of Dreams representative said Dawson will sign memorabilia at the following rates: $59.99 for a baseball or 8 by 10 photograph; $79.99 for signing equipment or larger flats; $99.99 for signing bats and jerseys. A credit card is needed to reserve a place in line.

Dawson also will be making an appearance at next weekend's Cubs Convention at the Hilton Chicago, which runs Jan. 15-17. A full list of attendees for the 25th annual convention will be announced next week.
