Workshop set on business of child care

The YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral will sponsor a workshop on "Family Child Care - It is a Business!" from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at 739 Roosevelt Road, Building 8, suite 210, Glen Ellyn. Registration is required. Call (630) 790-3030, ext. 474 to register. There is a $10 fee for the class.

Characteristics of a child care home, a description of the licensing process, business practices, provider/parent relationships and services of the YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral will be included in the discussion. Packets containing resource information will be distributed. For a limited time, CPR/First Aid training certificates and Basic Art Start kits will be available to those who qualify.

The YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral is a program of the Metropolitan Chicago West Suburban Center. It supports and strengthens the child care system in DuPage and Kane counties by educating parents, child care providers and the community; increasing the supply of child care, and advocating on behalf of quality child care.
