Arlington Heights
• Thieves removed a bicycle from the bike rack outside a store at 122 N. Vail Ave. between 7:15 a.m. March 13 and 6:15 p.m. March 16, hung the bike on a nearby fence and stole the front tire, seat and LED lights. Loss was estimated at $50.
•Thieves stole a stainless steel refrigerator and electric stove out of an apartment on the 2200 block of South Goebbert Road between March 10 and 17. Total value was estimated at $1,378.
•Burglars broke into a 2006 Dodge Caravan in a store lot at 600 E. Rand Road between 5:30 and 7:15 p.m. March 15 and stole a GPS unit and duffel bag with children's ice skates, gloves and towels. Loss was estimated at $550.
•Burglars broke into a 2000 Honda Accord on the 1000 block of South Fernandez around 3 a.m. March 16 but fled without taking anything when the car alarm sounded.
• Burglars forced open the front door at a home on the 300 block of West Noyes Street between 2:40 and 3:45 p.m. March 16 and stole a black leather purse containing $150 out of the living room.
•Vandals used black paint to write graffiti on a bench at Sunset Meadows Park, 700 S. Dwyer Ave., March 17.
Buffalo Grove
• Vandals smashed a driver's-side window on a Mustang GT on the 800 block of Saratoga Lane between 10 p.m. March 16 and 7 a.m. March 17.
• A former employee wrote on walls in an upstairs storage room at the Buffalo Grove Theaters, 120 N. McHenry Road, between Jan. 2 and March 17.
• A man stole cosmetics and deodorant from CVS Pharmacy, 20 E. Dundee Road, around 2:50 p.m. March 17. He left in a silver Lincoln Town Car.
Des Plaines
• Migel A. Rojas, 18, of the 2500 block of Suffield Street, Des Plaines, and a 16-year-old girl were arrested around 11:30 p.m. March 18 on the 2300 block of Maple Road. Rojas was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and traffic violations; his court date is April 21. The teenage girl was charged with curfew violation and possession of marijuana and tobacco; her court date is April 17.
• Raymond K. Graves, 33, of the 8600 block of Gregory Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested around 1:15 p.m. March 18 during a traffic stop on the 2000 block of Pine Street, and passenger Graves was charged with city ordinance possession of marijuana. His court date is April 17.
• Marcos A. Moyo-Lopez, 22, of the 0-100 block of Wildwood, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 12:35 p.m. March 18 during a traffic stop on the 600 block of South Elmhurst Road. Moyo-Lopez, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with city ordinance possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is April 2.
• Burglars broke into a 2004 Nissan Isuzu Rodeo on the 1400 block of Everett Avenue between 10 p.m. March 17 and 6:30 a.m. March 18 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $400.
Prospect Heights
• Thieves stole 22 Dolly Vole election signs from front yards on the 600 block of Elmhurst Road and 0-100 block of Palatine Road between 8 p.m. March 14 and 7 a.m. March 15 and another 17 signs on Euclid Avenue, Owen Street, Brook Road, Wolf Road, Wheeling Road, Camp McDonald Road, Drake Terrace and Waterman Street between 11 p.m. March 17 and 10 a.m. March 18. Value was estimated at $234.
• A man tried to enter a home on the 1500 block of Quaker Lane around 12:05 a.m. March 17, but fled when he came face-to-face with a male resident, who heard a noise at his kitchen window.
• Vandals wrote gang graffiti on two exterior walls and a bench at Harper College, 1375 S. Wolf Road, between 2:39 and 2:55 p.m. March 9.
• Vandals scratched both sides of a 2006 Nissan Maxima on the 800 block of McIntosh Court between 8 p.m. March 12 and 7 a.m. March 13.
• Vandals smashed the rear passenger's-side window and rear cargo window on a 2002 Ford Explorer on the 800 block of East Old Willow Road overnight March 13-14.
• Several offenders hurled beer bottles that shattered a sliding patio door at an apartment on the 800 block of Piper Lane between 2:13 and 2:25 a.m. March 16. The group wanted to join three men inside the apartment who were playing dominoes and drinking beer, but the victims refused.
• Vandals smashed two light bulbs and a glass cover on two lights attached to the east wall of the Metra depot, 101 S. Wolf Road, between 10:40 a.m. March 14 and 9 a.m. March 16.
• Vandals slashed three tires on a 1998 Toyota Corolla in an apartment lot on the 700 block of Piper Lane between 9:29 and 9:43 a.m. March 15.
Rolling Meadows
• Burglars smashed a front window at Sakura Restaurant, 4011 Algonquin Road, around 7:55 a.m. March 17 and entered the building, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Wheeling
• Richard J. Avent Jr., 19, of the 0-100 block of Charabanc Lane, Wheeling, and Mark A. Johnson, 17, of the 0-100 block of Curricle Road, Wheeling, were arrested around 11:20 p.m. March 18 and charged with local ordinance consumption of alcohol by a minor after a group of men tried to enter a home on the 1000 block of Kenilworth Avenue. Avent was arrested at the scene; Johnson was arrested on the 1100 block of Valley Stream Drive. Two other male suspects ran away.
• Burglars broke into a 2000 Saturn sedan in a condominium lot on the 1200 block of Pleasant Drive between 11 p.m. March 14 and 7 a.m. March 15. Burglars also smashed the rear passenger's-side vent window on a 2000 Nissan Sentra on the 1100 block of Pleasant Run Drive. Damage was estimated at $500.
