Pols' promises are just a pig in a poke
I am old enough and wise enough to tell you (gasp) all politicians lie. Some lie more than others; some are better liars than others, but they all lie. The politician depends on your gullibility, short memory, and (excuse me) ignorance. They know that most people spend more time watching reruns of Everyone Loves Raymond, than Bloomburg Financial News. The public understanding of the world of finance is dismal. They allow the politicians to define the laws of economics. The economic mess we are experiencing is proof of their lack of expertise. The way you must judge the politicians, be it McCain or Obama or anyone, is by their record, their associates, and accomplishments. Voting for someone on the basis of their promises has shown to not be a good idea. You are buying a pig in a poke. {A poke being a bag where a small pig was placed) Buying a pig without opening the "poke" for an inspection was considered stupid. Ring any bells?
