Even in tough times, curb the littering

As welcome and pleasant as the recent thaw was, what is not welcome nor pleasant is all the garbage that was revealed. Plastic bottles, bags and fast-food containers litter the streets and sidewalks. I am asking everyone who owns property to please take a walk around that property and pick up any trash you see. Even if it is at the curb. With all the budget cuts going on, I wouldn't wait for the city street sweeper to come around. Chances are there is no money available for that service now. Let's try to keep America beautiful, even in these tough times. All it will cost us is some time and a garbage bag or two.
