How could one man be worth $212,000?

About the firing of ex-Director of Police Richard Casler: Here is a man who worked for the Schaumburg Police Department, retired at the age of 55 with a pension of $70,000 a year, and then was hired back at $142,264, which means the taxpayers of Schaumburg and Illinois are on the hook for $212,000 per year.

What on earth could this man possibly be doing to be worth $212,000 a year for a village the size of approximately 78,000 people?

Who on earth voted for this situation to occur?

Then we wonder why taxes are so high and all the states and counties are villages are broke.

How many people in the private sector get a pension of $70,000 at the age of 55?

I cannot for the life of me understand why the people who get paid by our taxes are so much more worthy to deserve these lavish pensions than people in the private sector.

Why are they not playing by the same set of rules as the rest of us?

And that is in ADDITION to their health benefits; how much is THAT costing the taxpayers?
