Commercials are far too expensive
While the rest of the country is feeling the effects of the economy, professional sports must be immune. According to the business section of the Daily Herald, ad pricing for Super Bowl was $6 million per minute. That works out to $100,000 per second. As much as I enjoy the game and the commercials, that seems ridiculous to me. I plan to patronize the sponsors who chose not to pay this price and pulled their advertising.
