Lake Barrington elects Schofield
Dorothy "Connie" Schofield, who retired as Lake Barrington village president four years ago, was the top vote-getter Tuesday for one of three seats on the village board. Joining her are three-term incumbent Lauren DeJesu and newcomer Christopher Mitchell.
Unofficial results showed Schofield with 690 votes, DeJesu with 642 votes and Mitchell with 546 with all seven precincts reporting results. Incumbent Paul Struck had 514 votes, Schofield slate-mate Javier Suarez had 462 votes and Jarvis had 251 votes.
Schofield is critical of Village President Kevin Richardson, whose slate included Mitchell.
