Arlington Heights

• Hill S. Son, 29, of the 1700 block of Sable Lane, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 10 on a traffic stop at Algonquin Road and Clearbrook Drive and charged with traffic violations and local ordinances possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is March 9.

• Burglars broke into a 1998 Ford Explorer at a home on the 1100 block of South Walnut Avenue between 6 p.m. Feb. 9 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 10 and stole a GPS valued at $100.

• Vandals used black paint to spray graffiti on a village pumping station at 1503 W. Kirchoff Road near Sunset Meadows Park around 11:20 a.m. Feb. 10.

Des Plaines

• Burglars broke into a 2005 Ford pickup truck in a lot on the 3100 block of River Road between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Feb. 9 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $400.

• A man stole a wallet valued at $200 around 10:50 a.m. Feb. 9 from a female customer at Quickwash, 1176 Lee St., after she left it on a counter.

Mount Prospect

• A man stole a lawn mower valued at $300 placed next to a Dumpster at a home on the 900 block of Quince Lane around 5:15 p.m. Feb. 9. The man put the lawn mower in the trunk of a white Pontiac Bonneville sedan. The female victim had seen the car drive past several times as she moved items out of her house.

Prospect Heights

• A group of males chased and beat a 15-year-old boy at Wolf and Palatine roads around 1:15 a.m. Feb. 7. One of the offenders may have used brass knuckles. The victim was treated at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Rolling Meadows

• Burglars smashed the front glass door at Sakura Restaurant, 4011 Algonquin Road, around 8 a.m. Feb. 10 and stole undisclosed items.

• Burglars broke into a 2001 Toyota at the Meadows Ice Arena, 3939 Winnetka, between 7:30 and 9 p.m. Feb. 10 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $640.

• Burglars broke into a 2006 Mazda at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Road, between 6:45 and 9:45 p.m. Feb. 10 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $700.

Wheeling

• Mark A. Broms, 18, of the 1900 block of East Avon Lane, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 7:25 p.m. Feb. 11 in an apartment lot on the 200 block of Wood Creek Drive and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is March 31.

• John L. Haugsness, 26, of the 500 block of Weidner Drive, Buffalo Grove, and Katherine A. Dale, 27, of the 2300 block of South Colony Drive, Mount Prospect, were arrested around 12:30 a.m. Feb. 11 after a traffic stop at Elmhurst Road and Valley Stream Drive. Haugsness was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations and his court date is March 10; Dale was charged with local ordinance possession of marijuana and her court date is March 25.

Lake Barrington

• Burglars stole a GPS unit and charger Feb. 1 out of a vehicle on the 300 block of Shoreline Road, Lake Barrington Shores. Value was estimated at $250.
