Brogan a good fit for park board

Please join me in electing Rick Brogan as Streamwood Park District commissioner. I am current board president not running for re-election after five years as a commissioner. Rick brings some unique views and experience to our community. There is no salary for a park commissioner, which means there are no hidden agendas, just dedication to the residents.

I have known him for 11 years through various volunteer events in Streamwood. Rick has coached for Falcons Football, Little League and now Travel baseball. His dedication to his family and to sports programs is first class. He gives his time to make a difference not only in sports but in our community. I have been lucky enough to work and volunteer with Rick over the years. He never wants recognition for his hard work and time but he is a true leader.

With his background he was a natural choice for our new Streamwood Park Foundation Board. His 20-plus years in the Itasca Police Department adds the experience in dealing with parks and villages. I cannot find a better replacement for the park board than Rick Brogan.

Anyone that knows him will find he has a heart of gold but gets things done. He has all the attributes to be an excellent board member who will make an impact immediately. Please join me and vote for Rick Brogan as your next park board commissioner on April 7.
