District 220 staff honored

Congratulations to four outstanding staff members of Barrington Unit District 220 for the high recognitions they've recently received for their dedicated work.

Paula Lichtenstein, the certified nurse at Barrington Middle School-Station Campus, has been named "School Nurse of the Year" by the Northeast Division of Illinois School Nurses. She is now eligible for Illinois School Nurse of the Year, with her nomination forms due May 1.

Lichtenstein thanked the district at a recent school board meeting for its support of her efforts to expand her knowledge and skills.

Three Barrington High School coaches also have received high distinction:

• Girls' cross country coach Deb Revolta has been inducted into the Illinois Track & Cross Country Hall of Fame.

• Jody Gilelis has been named 2008 State Track Coach of the Year by the Illinois Track & Cross Country Coaches' Association.

• Tracy Waters Miller was named 2008 State Tennis Coach of the Year by the Illinois Tennis Coaches' Association.
