No one injured in Fox Lake mobile home fire

Authorities are investigating what caused a mobile home to incinerate Saturday morning in Fox Lake.

No one was home when the fire broke out in the 200 block of Main Street around 10 a.m., Fox Lake Assistant Fire Chief Tom Preidis said.

Flames and smoke destroyed the structure and several pets died.

It took about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which occurred just a short distance from the Fox Lake fire station. Antioch, Lake Villa, Richmond, Spring Grove, McHenry and Round Lake fire departments assisted.
