Fox Valley Men of Harmony: Barbershop quartets from the Fox Valley Men of Harmony will deliver singing valentines to surprised sweethearts on Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 in the Fox Valley area. Singing valentines are delivered to homes, restaurants, classrooms, hospital rooms, offices etc. between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Formally dressed barbershop quartets deliver two love songs, a red rose and a personalized card to your valentine. St. Charles Mothers Club: The St. Charles Mothers Club will hold its February monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at Hosanna! Lutheran Church, Randall and Red Gate roads in St. Charles. After a brief business meeting, members will be participating in an Intro to Bikram Yoga class. The session will be taught by an instructor from St. Charles Bikram Yoga. Batavia American Legion: The Batavia American Legion Post 504 meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Batavia VFW Post 1197 Canteen, 645 S. River St., Batavia. Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors: Join the Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors during the luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Onesti Dinner Club, 18 N. Fourth St. in St. Charles. The social hour commences at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon followed by a presentation from a handwriting analyst, Linda Spencer. The group meets regularly during the months of September through May via special interest groups and monthly luncheons. The luncheon meetings held on the third Wednesday of the month at many of the area restaurants in the Fox Valley are open to all current members, prospective members, and guests with prepaid reservations. The annual membership fee of $25 provides you with a membership directory and a monthly newsletter that recaps the upcoming monthly events and activities. Welcome Club: The Welcome Club of the Fox Valley invites those with an interest in knowing more about the club, and their various activities, to a get-acquainted membership coffee at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the home of board member Joan Brady. It is a social and philanthropic organization for women in the area who are interested in meeting and making new friends through various social and fundraising activities. This coffee is open to new residents to the area, and club members are encouraged to come to meet the board members and learn more about the club and the various special interest groups coordinated by members. Club activities include breakfast, lunch, and dinner outings; group games such as bunco, bridge, mah-jongg, pinochle, tile rummy, Mexican train dominoes, and scrabble; Lifestories, a memoir group, mini-book groups, movie and theater outings; a sewing group; a walking group; a special singles group; an end of year picnic; informal dinner parties, and more. New activities and interests groups are added frequently by our members. Many of members reside in areas around the Fox Valley, including Aurora, Batavia, Bartlett, Elburn, Elgin, Geneva, Lily Lake, Maple Park, North Aurora, St. Charles, South Elgin, Sugar Grove and surrounding areas. The group meets regularly during the months of September through June. Each monthly meeting includes a meet and greet, which kicks off the meeting, followed by a short general business meeting, an entertaining and informative program. Rotary Club: The Rotary Club of Geneva is now accepting applications for Rotary District 6440 Vocational Scholarships that will be awarded to eligible high school graduates seeking a two-year degree, diploma or certificate.

Two applicants may be sponsored by each Rotary Club in the district, and will be considered for $1,500 to be used for tuition, books, fees, tools and supplies awarded through Rotary District 6440.

Eligibility includes being a high school graduate, GED, or nontraditional student re-entering a college program; applicant must be accepted at school of designation; and must be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Geneva.

District 6440, which includes 72 Rotary clubs in northern Illinois, will award up to 20 scholarships to full-time students seeking a vocational degree or certificate program at an accredited school.

Applications must be received by the Rotary Club of Geneva no later than Friday, Feb. 20 for consideration. Application forms and scholarship information are available for download from Geneva Rotary's Web site at www.genevarotary.org or contact Rotarian Charlie MacBrayne at (630) 675-0447.

Pottawatomie Garden Club: The February Pottawatomie Garden Club meeting will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 23 in the lower-level meeting room of National City bank on East Main Street in St. Charles. The program will be by Pam Otto, manager of nature programs with the St. Charles Park District. She will talk about "other living things" in our gardens: "Good Bugs, Bad Bugs and More." Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors: Enjoy a Yoga class on Thursday, Feb. 24, offered by the Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors Club, and your $15 donation will benefit the Golden Diners Program. This program will be offered from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St. in Geneva. Attendees must be registered to participate. Boy Scout Troop 7: Boy Scout Troop 7 of Elburn is celebrating its 85th anniversary at a special Court of Honor to be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at the Kaneland High School Cafeteria, 47W326 Keslinger Road in Maple Park. Aurora Junior Woman's Club: The Aurora Junior Woman's Club, together with Aurora Children's Dental Service, is presenting their 50th musical production, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," at 7 p.m. Friday, March 20, and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21 in the West Aurora High School auditorium, 1201 W. St. Charles Singles Club: St. Charles Singles Club, Ltd., a social nonprofit group, welcomes, age 30 and older, to dances at Riverside Receptions, 35 N. River Lane, Geneva. Dances are from 7 to 11 p.m. the second, fourth, and fifth Mondays of each month. Proper attire is required at all dances.
